Mechanical Properties of Sanitary Manual Butterfly Valves

The butterfly valve is a valve in which the shutoff (disc or disc) is a disc and rotates around the valve shaft to open and close, which is mainly used for cutting and throttling in pipelines. The opening and closing parts of the butterfly valve are disc-shaped butterfly plates, which rotates around its own axis in the valve body to open, close or adjust.

The angle of the butterfly valve from fully open to close is usually less than 90 °. Butterfly valve and butterfly stem itself does not have the ability of self-locking, so it is necessary to install worm gear reducer on the stem to locate the butterfly plate. Worm gear reducer can not only make the butterfly plate with self-locking ability, so that the butterfly plate stop at any position, but also can improve the operating performance of the valve.

All steel parts of the sanitary butterfly valve are made of acid-resistant stainless steel, and the sealing parts are made of food silicone rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene, which conform to the food hygiene standard. Therefore, it is widely used in many industries such as food, winemaking, beverage, dairy products, fine chemical, pharmaceutical, and biological engineering.
