Core working principle
Pneumatic drive: Compressed air is guided into one of the two chambers of the pump through a valve.
Diaphragm movement: Compressed air entering the chamber pushes the diaphragm on one side towards the center of the pump body (discharge stroke), thereby squeezing the connected liquid chamber and expelling the liquid. At the same time, the diaphragm on the other side is pulled by the connecting rod mechanism and moves away from the center (suction stroke), creating a vacuum in its liquid chamber and sucking in liquid.
Automatic reversing: When the diaphragm on the discharge side moves to the end of its stroke, the air distribution valve automatically switches, directing compressed air to the other side of the chamber. So, the diaphragm on the discharge side began to suck in, and the diaphragm on the suction side began to discharge.
Cycle after cycle: This process alternates continuously, forming a continuous and pulsating fluid transport
Core components and structure
Diaphragm: a core vulnerable component, usually made of materials such as PTFE, fluororubber, nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, etc., selected according to the corrosiveness, abrasiveness, and temperature of the conveying medium.
Gas valve: the "brain" of the pump. Control the flow direction of compressed air and achieve automatic direction change. Common types include slider type, piston type, etc., which require sensitive and durable movements.
Ball valve/seat: a component that controls the unidirectional flow of fluid. Usually made of stainless steel, ceramics, engineering plastics, etc., to ensure good sealing and wear resistance.
Pump body: usually made of materials such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel (such as 304, 316L), polypropylene or polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) to adapt to different working conditions and media.
Air motor part: including air chamber and drive connecting rod
Main features and advantages
Intrinsic safety:
No motor: No electric spark, safe for use in flammable and explosive environments.
Dry operation self-priming: allows for idle or dry operation without damaging the pump, with strong self-priming capability.
Adjustable flow and pressure: By adjusting the air pressure or flow rate of the intake valve, the flow rate and outlet pressure of the pump can be infinitely adjusted (the highest pressure can reach the outlet cut-off pressure).
Reliable and durable:
No shaft seal: No dynamic seal, completely solving common leakage problems in other pumps.
